Andy Veal
Director of Tennis

Originally from Sussex, England, Andy represented
England in Junior International competition; was a
three-time college All-American, and the #1 ranked NAIA
college player in the United States. A Magna Cum Lauda
graduate from Lander University, South Carolina, he was
an academic All-American 1982 and 1983; member of the
Directory of Distinguished Young Americans in1983, and
has been inducted into the Lander University Hall of
Fame.
Andy holds a P1 rating with
the USPTA and the USPTR, and has coached top 25 players
on the Men’s ATP Grand Prix Circuit. He has been ranked
the #1 Pro in Nashville and Tennessee in recent years. |

Kevin Soto
Head Tennis Professional
 |
A native of Nashville, Kevin
has been at Wildwood since 1994 teaching adults and
developing the Junior Program. A former Franklin High
School standout Kevin played number 2 singles his Junior
and Senior year, and still competes in local area
leagues.
Kevin has been a USTA member since 1988 and
holds a P2 rating with the USPTA. He has been involved
in some of the areas best tennis programs including two
years at Hillwood Country Club in Nashville. Kevin’s
specialty is working with Children. |

Kurt Krummel
Staff Tennis Professional

Kurt relocated from Colorado in
2007 where he was the Head Tennis Professional at the
Pueblo Country Club. He was actively involved in
Pueblo’s tennis community where he helped develop many
Junior Programs and coached both Boy’s and Girl’s
Varsity High School Tennis. A competitive High School
player himself, Kurt went to the University of Northern
Colorado to play collegiately before becoming certified
by the PTR and starting his teaching career. |

Tom Young
Staff Tennis Professional

With ten
years of high level coaching experience, Tom has worked
with numerous top juniors and adults. Tom was nationally
ranked in the top 40 in juniors and played on the
futures Pro tour for a year before playing at BYU, then
Concordia University Irvine, Ca on full tennis
scholarships. While at Concordia he helped the team
finish #4 nationally in the NAIA, personally going 21-3
for the season. Tom has trained at many top
international tennis academies including Christ Evert,
Advantage Tennis Academy, Weil Tennis, and for two years
was personally coached by French open quarter finalist
Ronald Agenor. With an abundant amount of all around
tennis experience Tom Young has the ability to get your
tennis game to its full potential. |

Edgar Linares

Born in
Caracas, Venezuela, Edgar finished 4th in the nation as
a junior player in his native country before coming to
the United States. He received an athletic scholarship
to play for the University of Southern Indiana and was
awarded GLVC Conference Player of the Year two
consecutive years and three-time ALL-GLVC. In addition
to his excellent academic and athletic performance,
Edgar was inducted into the University of Southern
Indiana Hall of Fame in 2012. He is a certified
Professional by the Professional Tennis Registry and his
experience and passion for the game has allowed him to
coach at many different levels. |

Jim Madrigal

Jim Madrigal
has been teaching tennis in the Nashville area for over
20 years. He has been the Head Men's Tennis Coach at
Belmont University for the past 15 years highlighted by
a conference championship and NCAA tournament birth in
2006. Jim has worked with numerous regional, national,
and internationally ranked juniors over the years and
led his 4.0 USTA Ladies team to a National Championship
in 2000. As a player, Jim captained the Michigan State
tennis team as well as the MTSU upon transferring. Jim
held an ATP world doubles ranking and still makes an
effort to compete in a few events each summer. |
